Bismillah al-Rahman al-Raheem.

This campaign is more than just a fundraising opportunity. It is a sincere commitment and a lifelong pledge from an ordinary family… but in no shape or form does it repay a single blessing of what Allah (SWT) has bestowed upon us.

Mamun is my beloved husband and an amazing father to our 4 beautiful little girls. We have been married for over 16 years and in 2014 we were able to move into our first proper home. We both worked full time trying to make our home as nice as possible for our girls, but unfortunately we never got to finish.

On 20th Aug 2015, aged 32, Mamun was gifted with a severe test. After arriving home, he suddenly collapsed and was rushed to hospital where doctors said he had suffered a ‘subarachnoid haemorrhage’ (bleeding into the compartment surrounding the brain) from ‘sup cerebellar artery aneurysm’ as well as a ‘brain stem stroke’. He underwent 2 life-saving operations over the first 48 hours following the collapse – both with a slim chance of survival. Medically, he was given no more than 6-12 months to live – at best.

He is an amazing father to our 4 beautiful little girls. He had his health and everything to look forward to. But spiritually he was disconnected. He made a very specific du’aa and I remember it clearly to this day. He wasn’t a man who showed much emotion but this du’aa was going to change all of that.

Soon after a series of events, a life changing event turned our whole world upside down. In a split second - and it was literally a few seconds - he lost everything. His ability to see, walk, talk, eat, etc. His ability to even breathe. He was totally incapacitated.

Medically, my husband died in my arms. Something I will never forget.

Little did we know it at first, but this was the beginning of the answer to his du’aa, but as we know, Allah alone knows best.

Throughout this ordeal, he has remained patient and hopeful that Allah will restore his health again. He has never once doubted that Allah (SWT) is with him. Even after being blinded, unable to control a single limb in his body, not able to eat or drink and even though his brain is severely damaged (he has lost the lower part of his brain) - he is more determined than ever. Even though medically he is deteriorating and there’s always something new to contend with.

We know this is a second chance from Allah SWT to do something, anything, to get close to Him, to ask for His Forgiveness and hope that He accepts our repentance.

Mamun knows his situation is fragile but it hasn’t stopped him from wanting to dedicate his life to helping those that are less fortunate and the needy. We don’t know how long he has left. He hopes to leave behind this legacy for his children to continue on his behalf in sha Allah.

We are fundraising to provide refugee children in Sudan with 3 daily meals as they complete their general and Qur'an studies. Many of the students Charity Right supports are orphans, not only studying and memorising Quran at these schools, but also living there too.

We want to feed these children, help them grow and focus on developing other areas of their lives to reach their full potential as Sadaqah Jariyah (continued charity) for Mamun.

Please donate whatever you can even if it’s £5, and keep Mamun and our family in your prayers.

£20 will provide one child with daily meals for one month

£120 will provide one child with daily meals for six months

£240 will provide one child with daily meals for one year

We are so grateful for your generosity and your help in supporting this phenomenal Sadaqah Jariyah (continued charity) project. Thank you from the deepest depths of our hearts.

Mamun, Tamina & our 4 beautiful girls x
