(If you’re an editor, and not a writer, please scroll to the bottom of this page!)
We’re trying to create a blog that everyone loves to read. We want our content to be fresh, entertaining, thought-provoking, and relevant, so we’re welcoming submissions from writers, bloggers, academics, influencers, and experts who are passionate about what we do.
Though we can’t, at present, offer a fee for written work, we do still have lots to offer you. As fellow writers, we understand that what you need is exposure. And we can offer lots of that!
Your writing will be promoted on our popular social media pages. On Facebook, for example, we have over 23,000 followers and counting. If your piece is particularly good, we might even send it out to the tens of thousands of people on our mailing list.
Some of the topics we’re interested in reading about include: the charity sector; politics/international relations (with regards to the countries we work in); world hunger; refugees; Indonesia; Sudan; Somalia; Pakistan; (the refugee situation in) Greece; Bangladesh; personal reflections; relevant Islamic reminders; volunteer/fundraiser experiences; relevant book reviews etc.
We’re happy to consider other topics if you have some other ideas.
Writers must submit a piece of writing, so we can get an idea of writing styles. Please note: we will not take on writers who can’t provide us with a sample of their work.
Editors are also a crucial part of this process, so if you have editing or proofreading experience, we’re looking for people like you too!
